SENIOR PRINCIPAL PRODUCT DESIGNER

Optum Rx | Remote | 2017 - Present

As a subject matter expert in the process of ordering pharmaceutical prescriptions, I took the lead at Optum Specialty Pharmacy in designing an online portal. Through user testing, verbatims, and industry best practices, our team created a portal that was ranked as the top performer in digital channels by J.D. Powers in both 2022 and 2023, a testament to the effectiveness of our collaborative efforts.

  • Work collaboratively with product owners and lead engineering partners to define the scope and negotiate timelines that are feasible for design partners

  • Collaborate with other design leads and peers to provide feedback and promote consistency across features and portals • Articulate and design long-term visions used to help influence overall product strategy and future roadmaps

  • Assisted in designing and contributing to a component-based design system used to provide consistent designs across multiple prescription portals

SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER

Sears Holdings | Chicago, IL | 2011 - 2017

I began updating wireframes for Sears and Kmart account profiles. I later transferred to a different team and became the lead designer and subject matter expert for a mobile point-of-sale system used primarily by commission-based Sears store associates.

  • Worked autonomously to create designs utilizing the industry's best standards and competitive analysis

  • Played a key role in understanding and representing the needs of store associates, influencing the project's scope and solutions to align with their requirements

  • Worked on teams consisting of a project manager, copywriter, UI designer, engineering, and product owners

  • Developed close relationships with engineering to foster open communication, build trust, and a collaborative working relationship

PRODUCT DESIGNER

Accenture | Chicago, IL | 2005 - 2011

Embarked on a journey as a consultant, contributing to the transformation of clients into high-performance businesses. Demonstrating my adaptability, I later transitioned to the internal IT team, where I provided user experience support for new and existing web-based internal employee applications.

  • Worked on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
